Imse Vimse Flushable Liners - 100 Count Review

Imse Vimse Flushable Liners - 100 Count
Average Reviews:

WARNING: This review contains explicit discussion of poo. If you can't handle reading about poo, please skip to the next review.

My oldest child was a MESSY POOPER. Every single poo was a certified nasty mess. I was so thankful when I found out about disposable liners. If cloth diapering is a nightmare for you because of poop, you NEED this product. You will continue to cloth diaper in peace and enjoyment (well, relatively).

My next two children were different from the oldest. Their poops were often "the good kind" (as my husband and I came to refer to them). That being the case, we didn't use the liners after every change, but we were still thankful to have them and used them a few times a day (especially in the nighttime diaper 'cause one of our kids would like to wake up in the morning and then poop and sit in it). If your child is like clockwork with poop, you can put one in only when you know poop is imminent.

What the other reviewers are saying is correct, you CAN and should re-use these liners if they only got peed on. When I would transfer my diapers from the washer to the dryer, whenever I would see one of these liners, I would lay it on top of the dryer. They dry so quickly that by the time the diapers were dry, the liners would be, too. This saved some extra wear and tear on the liners and enabled me to get even more use out of them. (I didn't go hunting for them, though. A mom has enough work to do without picking through every piece of diaper laundry on its way to the dryer!). I would estimate that out of a package of 100 diaper liners, there were maybe 4 that would end up getting shredded and unuseable before it got pooped on. Not bad!

I have used this product in both sizes for a continuous 4 and a half years and can say it is a great product. It does stink to be buying a disposable/consumable product when you're cloth diapering, but if fear and dread grip you at poopy changes, this product is worth the money! I do recommend the larger size for toddlers. When you see how large it is, you'll think you can get by with the smaller kind, but don't try it. They shrink dramatically with their first wash and the toddler kind is the perfect size even after a washing.

Another note: do NOT flush these liners in septic systems!

Product Description:
Flushable liners can be used between the diaper and the baby's skin, letting moisture pass through to the diaper while preventing solids to soak into the diaper, which will take the mess out of washing your cloth diapers.

Nature Babycare Training Pants Review

Nature Babycare Training Pants

I used cloth diapers with both of my children, but had some trouble when it came time to toilet train.I tried thesefor use when out in public/on long trips and found them to be absolutely fabulous! They're just as absorbent as traditional Pull Ups pants but free of all the nasty chemicals/absorbent gel found in the ones you can buy at the store. Also, my two are skinny little things and I never had trouble with the leg openings leaking. :o)If your child is a heavy nighttime wetter, I'd advise using a hemp or bamboo insert with these (if you don't mind doing a little laundry). Otherwise, I found them to work very well.

Imse Vimse Training Pants-2-3 years Green Cotton Review

Imse Vimse Training Pants-2-3 years Green Cotton

These pull ups have been wonderful. With the regular diaper pull ups my son would not feel or would not be bothered by the wetness. With these he knows he will feel the soiled diaper and is very good about telling us when he needs to go potty. Even though they are not leak proof they have done a good job of limiting the mess when we do have accidents.I wish I had known about these with my first child. Could have sped potty training along.

Product Description:
IMSE VIMSE Training Pants are functional and stylish. Kids love the trim and comfortable fit. Three layers of absorbent terry fabric and one inner layer of PUL protect clothes from getting wet when small accidents happen. Tips: For older children and heavy wetters, increase absorbency by adding one of our organic diaper liners. For extra protection, try adding a diaper cover for nap-time or as needed. Washing Care: For best results, turn inside out, wash on warm, hang dry. No bleach, no fabric softeners.

Imse Vimse Training Pants - 28 to 37 lbs - Farm Print Review

Imse Vimse Training Pants - 28 to 37 lbs - Farm Print

We own 6 pairs of Imse Vimse training pants, some in the small size and some in the medium. They are cute, they are not too bulky, and they launder well. In bad news, they don't contain the pee. These would be ideal trainers for a child who starts to release and then rushes to the potty. If you're looking for something that will keep the pee off of your floor or bed sheets, I'd recommend looking elsewhere or buying waterproof covers. We bought 4 Gerber waterproof covers, which we have to put over our Imse Vimses at sleep times. (We use regular "big kid" underwear at all other times). If we didn't already have the Imse Vimses, we would either go the cheap route and buy Gerber locally or we would order Motherease trainers which have a little bit of waterproofing on the outside, but are still nice and soft (we have one pair of them and know we like them). When your child is awake, though, it's BETTER not to use any waterproofing 'cause you need to know instantly when your child has gone, so you can work on getting them to the potty quickly. And with that unsolicited potty training advice, I close my review.

Bummis Training Pant - Small (20-30lbs) Review

Bummis Training Pant - Small

I've only used mine a handful of times, but so far, so good.Fit is true to description (although leg openings are a *little* small.Shouldn't be an issue unless your LO has REALLY chunky thighs. The snug openings do help to contain accidents though. My LO can flood a diaper, but this held one void without leaking, and it even contained a very mushy poop.We are still very early in learning to use the potty, but my LO did notice a difference when he went in this as opposed to going in his cloth diapers or disposables. He actually told me he went instead of simply going about his business.I probably won't venture to use these outside the house until he's a little further along in the process though.

This comfy, well made pant is easy to pull on and off FAST and will hold major spills. Best of all - it encourages potty training by allowing baby to feel wet.

I like them but...first they are not waterproof so even small amounts of pee his pants get wet. And they are getting too tight around the waist and he's only at 33lbs. So overall I won't buy these again.
